AT-ST, a light combat vehicle created in the heyday of the galactic empire The AT-ST was used everywhere in the Imperial assault corps as a lightly armored all-terrain vehicle suitable for covering heavier AT-AT, reconnaissance, and infantry support. The armament of the AT-ST depended on the place where it was used; it could be both light laser guns and grenade launchers with various types of ammunition. Most often, there were models in service that had an anti-personnel grenade launcher on the starboard

side, a light twin blaster on the starboard side of the turret, and two medium blaster cannons paired under the cockpit.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The main manufacturers of the AT-ST were Kuat Shipyards, Rotana Heavy Machinery, and the Imperial Department of Military Research. AT-ST participated in many battles; they often met where stormtroopers were present. One of the most significant battles in which AT-ST participated was the battle on the planet Hott, where AT-ST light walkers were accompanied by heavily armored AT-AT walkers.

Despite their prevalence, AT-ST had a number of major disadvantages: weak mobility, low speed, and relatively weak armor. All this made the AT-ST relatively inexpensive, but at the same time, it was not the most popular transport in the army of the empire. It is worth noting that the predecessor of the AT-ST, the more mobile AT-RT, could boast a much greater number of advantages, but unlike the AT-ST, the AT-RT could not be produced as massively as the AT-ST due to the complexity of the design.
