Shoto sabers were like normal sabers but scaled down to a shorter size. These sabers allowed shorter species to use them with ease such as Yoda, Yaddle and Even piell. This not only allowed shorter species to use it but to allow maneuverability to their attacks even acrobatic and dagger like thrusting moves. This saber helped many Jedi through the Clone Wars and even in The Old Republic era. Lastly the shoto adapts to many different lightsaber forms such as Jar’kai and Shii cho, these forms were adapted by Ahsoka tano when she made her shoto blade

History/backstory body paragraph:

The first mention of the shoto was during the Sith wars and the most notable user of it was, Jedi Master Kavar and his dual sabers. Kavar used his sabers to match against a Sith apprentice who also wielded a shoto saber. Later in time during The Clone Wars, a rebellious Jedi, Sora Bulq carried a shoto saber in his attempt to attack Mace Windu and Ahsoka Tano. Although Mace windu ended the duel as the victor, Sora escaped cowardly.

The primary use of the shoto is to counter attacks and freeing the opponents opening to use the primary saber to attack them and killing them. Shoto wielders then adapted the form Jar’kai to close the risk of being open for attack. Shoto’s were also able to counter light whips due to the shortness of the blade. Many users take up two shoto’s instead of just one, in an attempt to gain more speed and attacks in one short duration even though it depleted the range of attack, it still reduced the energy of the user.
