Hunter, formerly known as CT-9901, was a Clone Sergeant who commanded Clone Force 99 in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, which pitted the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Galactic Republic. He was genetically altered to have improved senses, which allowed him to lead other warriors who had different mutations and were known as the "Bad Batch." He was surrounded by people such as Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo.

Background/History Body: 

Hunter, alias CT-9901, surfaced on Kamino from the large clone pool created in the likeness of the male human bounty hunter Jango Fett. As the commander of Clone Force 99, dubbed "The Bad Batch," Hunter oversaw a squad of clone commandos with favorable genetic abnormalities. Due to his own mutations, he had enhanced senses that allowed him to identify electromagnetic frequencies on different planetary surfaces. He supervised proficient operatives as a Clone Sergeant, including as the tech genius Tech, the formidable Wrecker, and the sniper Crosshair. Clone Force 99, based out of the Omicron-class assault shuttle Marauder, was named for the slain Maintenance duty clone 99, which was destroyed during the Battle of Kamino.

Despite their reputation for using unusual tactics and disobedience, Clone Force 99 had an impeccable success record in its missions throughout the Clone Wars, which pitted the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Hunter felt that there was too much going on and found it difficult to stay on top of their many duties. Even though they were well-known to Jesse and Kix and other clone soldiers, Clone Captain Rex was ignorant of them. During the battle, Hunter met Clone Commander Cody, who gave them at least one dangerous task. The regiment, however, had difficulty recognizing its normal commanding officer. Additionally, they developed a relationship with the Saleucami family of Cut Lawquane, a clone deserter.

Hunter, as he was nicknamed, kept his serial number a secret and never disclosed it to anybody. Even though he had a rough exterior, he was nevertheless very personable and frequently spoke straight to the point. Sometimes he was funny at the same time that he was direct. Hunter, who was described as stern and tough, acted as a go-between for the members of Clone Force 99 and ordinary clones like Jesse and Rex during the Battle of Anaxes. Hunter intervened to defuse the escalating emotions by reminding everyone of their common devotion.
