Body Paragraph: Yavin IV is the fourth moon of the gas giant Yavin in the Outer Rim. The planet is covered with thick jungles and rain forests. This planet housed the secret base of the rebel alliance, 19 years after the creation of the Galactic Empire.

History/Background Body Paragraph: Five thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, this planet was home to a species called Massassi. Yavin IV was renowned for its sizable ancient temples built by the Massassi, who were once enslaved by the Sith. The Massassi were also involved in the Great Sith War as warriors. The species was wiped out when a Sith named Kun used a ritual which removed his spirit from his body, sacrificing them all. The Rebel Alliance would later make this planet their main base of operations in which they learned of the construction of the Death Star. The Rebel Alliance sent fighters from Yavin IV to destroy the Death Star and evacuated before the Empire retaliated leaving the planet to be deserted.
