Phanius, also known as Darth Ruin, was a revered and honored Jedi Master at the start of the Draggulch Period, highly regarded for his erudition and likability, though unsettling to many of his peers. Fully embodying solipsistic traits, he began to believe that his own mind, and hence himself, was the only thing that truly existed.

History/Background Body Paragraph

When he realized that the Jedi Order condemned such thoughts, Phanius abandoned the Jedi ways in search of alternative teachings that would allow him to embrace his ideology. He joined the Lost Twenty, a group of Jedi Masters who had defected from the Order due to ideological differences. During his quest for knowledge, he came across a Sith holocron and began to explore the dark side's ways. Armed with this newfound knowledge, he set out to train more Sith disciples, vowing vengeance on the Order for dismissing his beliefs. Taking on the mantle of Darth Ruin and uniting several Sith clans under his rule, Phanius caused the Fourth Great Jedi Schism by seducing several Jedi to his cause. His schemes gave rise to the New Sith, which would eventually spark the New Sith Wars, but Ruin would not live to see it. Because he saw his disciples as meaningless and undeserving of his attention, they became incensed and tired of his rule, ultimately assassinating Ruin.

Despite having a brief reign, Darth Ruin became one of the Lost Twenty and served as a reminder to the Order that a Jedi is not infallible in any way. The New Sith Wars were precipitated by Darth Ruin, who was directly responsible for the New Sith's formation. The Creed of Ruin, one of Ruin's more well-known writings, was a solipsistic manifesto that emphasized his philosophy.
