Daimyo is the name of the crime lord in Jabba's criminal empire and later it became an organization known as Fett gotra. The Daimyo had nominal authority over the desert planet Tatooine that was maintained through the allegiance and tribute of vassals, such as government officials and proprietors. They also had control over businesses in Mos Espa, Tatooine, ruling over the territory. Daimyo also has a duty to enforce laws, maintain order, and protect property.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Prior to 22 BBY to 4 ABY, Jabba had ruled a criminal empire both during the Republic Era and Empire Era. He spread his operations and influence across the Outer Rim Territories, with a selfish and harsh action like various criminal activities such as smuggling and slave trading. Jabba also demands endless tributes from various locals and the government of Tatooine in order to keep them in line. After Jabba's death, another ruthless and terrible leader took the throne once again for 4-9 ABY, he was majordomo Bib Fortuna and later was killed by Boba Fett. Unlike the previous Daimyo, Boba Fett intended to rule with respect, catching the eye of many. He also formed his new empire known as Fett gotra.

Daimyos resided in a large palace on the fringes of the Northern Dune Sea in Mos Espa. The structure was a fortress, with a defensive design that focused primarily on protection from attack.
