General Information Body Paragraph: 

The Mandalorian Wars started in 3,976 BBY with the battle of Althir. Before then, the Mandalorians had been reading outer rim systems until they came into conflict with the Republic in 3,976 BBY. The Mandalorians had been conquering systems in the east edge of the galaxy, and drew the Republic’s attention when they assaulted worlds near Taris. After a year of conflicts on the world Taris, the Mandalorians finally broke through the Republic’s lines and attempted to besiege the planet. They then invaded the Republic through three corridors, which later became known as the Onslaught. A year later, a group named the Revanchists joined the Republic Military, led by a man named Revan and his friend, Malak. The Revanchists was a group dedicated to fighting Mandalorians. Revan led multiple assaults on the Mandalorians. Most notably, Revan defeated the Mandalorian’s leader, Mandalore the Ultimate, in single combat on Malachor V, as Republic and Mandalorian fleets fought above them. The activation of a weapon known as the Mass Shadow Generator was activated; it devastated both the planet of Malachor V, and the fleets that fought above it.

History/Background Body Paragraph: 

In 3,978 BBY, Mandalore the Ultimate was approached by an emissary of a Sith Lord. This emissary requested help in finding a tomb of the Sith Lord’s rival, Dramath the Second, on the planet of Rekkiad. This emissary told Mandalore the Ultimate of a vision his master had, which showcased the armies of Mandalore defeating the Republic in a great war, and ultimately winning. This led Mandalore the Ultimate to wage war against the Republic. The emissary was a servant of the emperor of a hidden Sith Empire, and was trying to turn the Mandalorians into a weapon the Empire could use against the Republic to test its defenses.

After the Mandalorians were defeated, Revan forced them to disarm and hide Mandalore the Ultimate’s mask. This led him and his friend, Malak, on a search for what caused the Mandalorians to initiate a war like this. They found it out to be a Sith influence, and both Revan and Malak were turned to the dark side of the Force.
