The legendary Rogue Squadron was an elite squadron that originally served the Republic forces. However, it later served the Alliance of Free Planets, Galactic Alliance Remnants and several other organizations. It is said that the Rogue Squadron was active for 130 years, and has fought in several conflicts ranging from the Galactic Civil War to the Second Imperial Civil War. The Rogue Squadron’s roster was made up of some of the galaxy’s finest pilots. These pilots were paramount exemplars to the governments they served in, as well as the role models to the public.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The Rogues were originally just a small fighter group commonly known as Rogue Flight, formed by an Alliance’s Commander called Arthur Nara in 0 ABY. The surviving members of the Red Squadron after the battle of Yavin were merged into this fighter group. The squadron was later renamed to Rogue Group, as it gained more reputation and members. After the conflicts in the planet Hoth, Antilles expanded the group into a full twelve-person squadron, subsequently renaming it to Rogue Squadron. When the squadron served the New Republic, it was demobilized for a year due to the immense amount of recruits dying too soon after signing up. However, the squadron was rebuilt with experienced and proficient aces in 6 ABY. Grievously, the squadron met its end during the Swarm War, being annihilated by their very own ex-commander, Wedge Antilles due to blurred loyalties.

The Rogue Squadron’s successes and victories gave it almost a mythical presence that reassures the galactic citizens that someone was in space protecting them. Rogue Squadron’s crest featured a blue Alliance Starbird surrounded by a twelve-pointed red star, along with an X-wing fighter at each of the star’s points. Throughout their history, the Rogue Squadron was led by a leader called the ‘Rogue Leader’. The Rogue Squadron flew a wide variety of fighter crafts, such as X-wings and T-47.airspeeders. Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles were some of the well-known commanders of this squadron.
