During the Clone Wars, Type II loadlifter droids were a type of binary loadlifter. They were repurposed demolition droids which made them violent. They were frequently commissioned by unscrupulous business types on the planet Coruscant's underworld, such as Lokann, who paid Level 1313 inhabitant Rafa Martez to build three Type II loadlifters. Martez's sister, Trace, and former Jedi Ahsoka Tano assisted in the construction of the Type II loadlifter droids, however, one droid was triggered without its restraining bolt, causing it to rampage through the city streets. Trace and Tano finally subdued the droid, and Rafa sold the loadlifters to Lokann despite their flaws.

History/Background Body Paragraph

Type II loadlifter droids were used during the Galactic Republic, and were very affiliated with Coruscant's underworld. During the Clone Wars, Lokann, posing as his business partner, commissioned the creation of three such droids from Rafa Martez, a laundromat owner on Coruscant's Level 1313 who frequently did unlawful projects. Martez directed Lokann to transport the droids to the back of her shop, where they would be assembled by her sister Trace and the former Jedi Ahsoka Tano, who had lately gotten acquainted with Trace.

Martez and Tano successfully assembled the three droids using a holographic schematic of the Type II loadlifter. Tano triggered the first loadlifter after placing a restraining bolt on it, but the droid attacked her nevertheless, knocking down one of the other loadlifters before Tano turned off its power. However, the third droid was activated before Martez could install its restraint bolt, and it escaped, rampaging through the subterranean streets.
