 Adegan Crystals were a subset or sub-species of Lightsaber Crystal, typically used by members of the Jedi Order. These crystals were typically located in the Adega System in the Outer Rim Territories in a region known as “The Slice'', However these crystals are also found on Mygeeto, Halm, and the Cularin Asteroid Belt. Adegan Crystals respond strongly to the Force, and have the unique ability to “bond” to a Force user, forming a connection between the crystal, and the blade the Jedi was using, through the blade the Jedi as well.

History/Background Body Paragraph:
  Adegan Crystals, although rare, have four  types that can be found on the planets mentioned above, including Ilum as well. These variants of the Adegan Crystals were called: Mephite, Danite, Relactite, and the rarest Pontite. These produced some of the best Lightsaber Blades the Jedi Order has known, most of these crystals were green, and blue, sometimes very rarely purple as well. Obi-Wan Kenobi in his first Lightsaber was recorded to have an Adegan Crystal. The most common type of Adegan Crystal was Kathracite, this was a very weak crystal and was used mostly as training sabers. In a proper saber the next most common Adegan Crystal with moderate strength was the Mephite Crystal.

  During the Cold War the Sith Empire used Adegan Crystals to create a Stealth Armada for unstoppable naval power, and even later during the Jedi Purge, after the execution of Order 66, all crystals that could be used in the construction of a Lightsaber were banned including Adegan Crystals. Some other forms of crystals were used in cloning and in weapons development by the Galactic Empire during the Great Galactic Civil War, 19 BBY - 4 ABY. In particular the Empire used it for the construction of the Death Stars I and II, and Emperor Palpatine's force sensitive clones on the planet of Vjune.  Later the First Order would as well during the construction of Starkiller Base on the Planet of Illum.
