The moon Ashla is one of two moons of the Jedi homeworld planet of Tython. Being flooded in light, having expansive oceans, and being able to host life, this moon was compared by the Je’daii Order, an ancient civilization that preceded the Jedi, to the light side of the Force. Its opposite, the moon Bogan, represented the dark side of the Force. The Je’daii, believing in a philosophy of true balance in the Force, would send members of their order who leaned particularly to the dark side to return to balance.

History/Background Information Body Paragraph: 

Ashla, along with Bogan,  was said to be forged from the fiery beginnings of the planet Tython. It was a reminder of the eternal struggle between the dark and light sides of the Force to those who came in search of balance.

Ashla was very much able to sustain life. It had a breathable atmosphere, saltwater oceans, sandy beaches, and even a native carnivorous winged creature named the Wingmaw that inhabited the skies of Ashla.
