Shock troopers, also known as Coruscant shock troopers and Imperial clone shock troopers, and formerly as clone shock troopers and clone guards under the Galactic Republic, were elite stormtroopers who served in the Coruscant Guard of the Galactic Empire.

During the Clone Wars, the “Shock Troopers” were a specialized police force that would act as a galactic police force for planets under the protection of the Republic and eventually the Galactic Empire. 

History/Background Body Paragraph:

These troopers, known as "shocktroopers," would also protect government buildings and act as guards for government officials of the Galactic Senate. Shock Troopers specialized in guarding prisons, maintaining civil order, anti-rioting procedures, and escorting diplomats for off-world assignments. 

During the Clone Wars, the Shocktroopers were under the command of Clone Commander CC-1010, also known as "Fox,” the commanding officer of the Shocktroopers.

The shock troopers were trained differently than other troopers after basic training and being shipped off Kamino. The cloned homeworld Shock Troopers would get special training to train for policing and riot control, as they would have to since every close got the same training.
