General Information Body Paragraph: 

Dagan Gera was a force-sensitive male from a species known as the Arkanian Offshoot, which is a genetically altered sub-species of the Arkanian race. They were looked down upon, and believed to be “lesser” Arkanians. At about 5 '11, he stood at around the same height as your average Arkanian, just maybe a bit shorter. He wielded a double-bladed, yellow lightsaber that could detach into two separate blades, which was similar to  fellow Jedi Cal Ketis's saber. Gera was described as arrogant, impatient, and lacking in humility. Although these negative traits showed the most, he also had a genuine and pleasant connection with fellow Jedi, Santari Khri. 

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Gera was born sometime around the High Republic Era, however, his exact birthdate is not known. He was granted the rank of Jedi Knight by the time of the Nihil conflict, which started in 232 BBY. He found great interest in the Outer Rim territories, and was an avid explorer of many planets located there. After much searching, he discovered the planet of Tanalorr, a paradise deep within the Koboh Abyss. Eventually, however, Tanalorr was invaded by Nihli marauders, who were essentially chaotic space pirates who could travel through hyperspace whenever they wanted to. Gera fiercely defended the planet, until the Jedi Council told him to back off and leave. He directly disobeyed this order, staying on the planet. With this, the other Jedi on the planet destroyed the Abyss compasses, devices used to navigate the Abyss. Filled with rage, Gera turned to the Dark Side and murdered several of his fellow Jedi, who were involved with their destruction. At last, he had come face-to-face with his old friend, Khri. In the end, Khri cut off his right arm, leaving him unconscious. Khri then sealed him in a Bacta Tank in the Forest Array, hoping he would wake up one day and live a new life. 

Additional Information Body Paragraph:

Gera woke up in 9 BBY, during the reign of the Galactic Empire. He was freed by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, after he had been sidetracked from a mission to Coruscant. Cal then informed him of the fall of the Republic, and the rise of the Empire. This was the turning point for Gera. He began to bleed his yellow crystal into the crimson red of the Sith. After fully turning to the Dark, Gera briefly dueled Cal. The two were interrupted however by Rayvis, a leader of the Bedlam Raiders, a group of marauders who lived on Koboh. Gera was brought back to Rayvis’ ship and was introduced. In short, Gera eventually ended up in a duel with Kestis and Bode Akuna, Cal’s  best friend and close ally. Cal had to fight Gera himself, because Akuna was incapacitated early in the fight. Cal eventually came out victorious, which spelt the end for Dagan Gera. His legacy lived on, however, because his newly reparied Abyss compasses lead Akuna and Cal to Tanalorr, which would hopefully become an important place for the Hidden Path, an underground organization focused on harboring Jedi and force-sensitive individuals from the Empire.
