Hyperspace rings were ahead of their time, they not just improved, but revolutionised interstellar travel. These rings allowed ships of any size to travel from planet to planet in seconds, no matter the size, no matter the distance, Hyperspace rings were always a go-to option for going from place to place. This was a game-changer for trade routes and military travel, they could transport loads of supplies in a matter of seconds. Though the rings seem good, they also come with consequences. The amount of fuel needed to supply a voyage was scarce, making people try to do it some way else.

The history of hyperspace rings tracks back to when transport was needed as wars went on, the Jedi Order created a prototype version of these rings that worked perfectly for Jedi Interceptors to be brought into lightspeed without a capital ship, the designs were changed over time and eventually were eventually changed to be used for public transportation and other purposes.

Morgan Elsbeth’s Hyperspace ring was the biggest of its kind, allowing an entire star destroyer to fit inside of it. It was used for Thrawn’s Return from the unknown regions.
