General Information Body Paragraph

The Yuuzhan Vong are an intergalactic traveling species cut off from the Force. With a strong religion-based hatred for anything mechanical, they rely on purely organic or natural things. An example of this is their weapon of choice, a serpent-like living staff resilient to blaster bolts and lightsaber strikes. They have a human-like body shape being more heavily built and lacking certain organs, one being kidneys. Their facial format is similar to the look of a skull, lacking a nose and having a ridge-like forehead. They traveled the galaxy in organic planet-ships and used shields similar to that of a black hole. Their society relied heavily on the idea of war and masochism, going so far as to call organ grafting ceremonial and using it as a symbol of status. 

History/Background Body Paragraph

The Yuuzhan Vong originated from a separate galaxy, driven out by the mass extinction of organic life as a result of civil war. Their homeworld of Yuuzhan’tar was destroyed millennia before they came to the main galaxy. The Yuuzhan Vong had war engraved into their society; leading them to conqueror and wipe out most of life in their galaxy. After much conquest war broke out between Vong factions, during this new civil war their homeworld was destroyed, thus disrupting their connection to the Force and removing it from them, causing great pain. Through this, the Yuuzhan Vong came to the conclusion that pain would reconnect them and incorporated it into their society at a religious level. After their wars concluded, much of their galaxy was in ruins, leading them to move towards intergalactic travel for a new home. By 3963 BBY the first Yuuzhan Vong had begun appearing although it wasn't until between 229 BBY and 89 BBY, that the planet ship Zoname Sekot arrived in the Gardaji Rift. In 25 ABY the Yuuzhan Vong finally began their invasion, sweeping across the Galaxy while the Republic sat idling ignoring the damage until it was too late to save their capital planet of Coruscant. By 36 ABY the war had ended and the Yuuzhan Vong had been relegated to a single planet ship, coincidentally the first one to appear in the galaxy, the Zoname Sekot. From their last planet ship, they moved to the unknown region to reform their society and work to better themselves.

Additional Information Body Paragraph

The Yuuzhan Vong had a strong warrior culture, often ending themselves if forced to surrender or beaten but not killed. They also held strong respect for those that fought well, even being seen guarding the body of fallen Jedi who died while fighting. Being cut off from the Force they couldn’t use it nor could they be sensed by it. Hence why so many Jedi died in their first encounters as the Jedi simply couldn’t sense the Vong before it was too late.
