Article Topic: Behavioral Modification Biochips
General Information
The behavioral modification biochips are implanted in the brains of clone troopers, and they are designed to ensure that the clones are obedient to their Jedi commanders. However, it becomes clear that these biochips have a darker purpose, one that threatens the freedom and autonomy of the clones. The behavioral modification biochips are a powerful symbol of the dangers of technology and its potential to be used for nefarious purposes. The biochips are implanted in the clones at a young age, and they are designed to suppress their individuality and free will. This allows the clones to be controlled by their Jedi commanders, who use them as soldiers in the war against the Separatists. They are designed to compel the clones to carry out a secret order, known as Order 66, which commands them to turn against their Jedi commanders and execute them. This order is part of a larger plan by the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, to eliminate the Jedi Order and seize control of the galaxy. The Jedi Order, who are supposed to be the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, are complicit in the use of these biochips, and they are ultimately unable to prevent the tragic consequences of Order 66. This raises questions about the role of power in society and the need for checks and balances to prevent abuses of power.
History/Background
Master Sifo-Dyas made contact with the Kaminoans and decided that the Republic should create a clone army. He gave them a chip called an inhibitor chip and wanted it to make sure that the clones would not take orders from rogue Jedi. Unfortunately, Sith Lord Darth Sidious and his apprentice, Darth Tyranus, had Master Sifo-Dyas killed. They took his project and programmed it so that it would turn the clones against the Jedi once activated. There were Kaminoans who still believed that the chip was only protection against rogue Jedi, but they were sadly mistaken.
Additional Information
There were some clones that figured out that the chips might have a darker purpose, such as the notable “Fives” that fought in the Clone Wars. There were some clones that also defected from Sidious’ orders such as Clone Captain “Howzer.” They were ordered to take over Ryloth and he publicly gave a speech to his men to try to get them to stand against Order 66. They unfortunately refused.
