Jocasta Nu was a force-sensitive human woman, and was a Jedi Master of the Order. She served as Chief Librarian of the Jedi Archives in the Galactic Republic’s final years. Jocasta was the main and most important caretaker of these archives. She was tasked with helping fellow Jedi find any information they may have needed whilst controlling access to many restricted vaults and artifacts. However, even though she was only the Chief Librarian, Jocasta Nu served at one point as a member of the Jedi High Council. Jocasta Nu, overall, was a brilliant and skilled Jedi.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Chief Librarian Jocasta Nu was born on the planet of Coruscant before the events of the Clone Wars. During her childhood, she was discovered as a Force-sensitive child and brought to the Jedi Temple for extensive training. She soon became a member of the Jedi High Council and a Librarian within the Jedi Archives. She grew fond of the Jedi Archives, later becoming the Chief Librarian, which didn’t prevent her from earning the rank of Jedi Master. She would hold the title of Chief Librarian for many decades by the time of the Imperial War. Her confidence in the accuracy and integrity of the many records she had recorded were grand. She was known to suggest that if something wasn’t in her library, it simply did not exist. During her time as an Archivist, she would collect many things, such as the Mask of Lord Momin. In the year 68 BBY, she witnessed Dooku gain a new padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn. During the Clone Wars, Jocasta has already been retired from the Jedi High Council for quite some time. During the Great Jedi Purge, Jocasta was able to escape the Jedi Temple along with important information about the Order. Her plan was to start a school to train Future Jedi, however, she was killed during an expedition to recover a chip containing the locations of Force-sensitive children.

After her death, the archives she had made for her school had been discovered by Luke Skywalker, which he used for his own school. When Jocasta was young, she and Count Dooku were very friendly before he turned to the darkside. She was very skilled in lightsaber combat, however, she barely used her weapon as defense.
