Project Blackwing was a project set by the Empire To try to find immortality. While looking for him at immortality, they came across a virus known as virus Blackwing or the sickness. Virus Blackwing was created by Sith scientists. They were using science and a Sith technique known as Sith Alchemy. The original idea was that this virus would uncover immortality, but it did the opposite. It would kill its host and then take control of its mind, turning into a zombie. It killed them by attacking their biological tissue. Though the sickness was killing these people, it did increase some physiological assets like the damage they could inflict, but it did slow them down and also it raised their stamina. But only with the changes in physical assets, but also Features to do with the outside skin. It would turn to a greenish colour. This virus also could communicate with other parts of the virus that had been put in other people meaning they could learn to use weapons and artillery weapons from survivors. 

History/Background Body Paragraph: 

In the year 30 BBY project, Blackwing had become active. Rumours say that Emperor Palpatine had named the Death Troopers after the fallen soldiers that had died to project Blackwing. Somewhere between the Battle of the Yavin and the Battle of Hoth the Imperial soldiers based on Dandoran were infected by Project Blackwing. All the troops that fell in that facility came to be known as the army of the undead but the only time where the Empire and the Rebel Alliance only really worked together was in this situation, and they worked together to eliminate the threat Of Project Blackwing. But when the second wave of Project Blackwing happened, the only people fighting against it were the Rebel Alliance. The Rebel Alliance did manage to contain the second outbreak, though.

Darth Vader was the one who ordered the start of Project Blackwing Otherwise codenamed Project 171a. After about a year, the last mention of Project Blackwing was on Dathomir, this was because the project was released on Dathomir there by an accident The virus was created by a mix of chemicals and a force-sensitive flower by the name of Murakami orchid but at the time the Empire didn't know that this flower made the disease deadlier. Rumours circulated after the main virus had been dealt with that various criminal organisations and groups had retrieved some of the Death Troopers to be experimented on or used for their own gain.
