Leia Skywalker Organa Solo was a force-sensitive military and political leader, and sister of Luke Skywalker. During the Imperial era, she served in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. She devoted her life to restoring democracy by opposing the Galactic Empire and the First Order.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Leia was born in Polis Massa alongside her brother, Luke Skywalker. Unfortunately, their mother, Padme Amidala, died after giving birth to them. The twins needed to remain hidden from the Sith Lords Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. Their only way of doing so was to separate the twins. Leia was adopted by the Alderaanian royal family in the House of Organa. She was raised by Queen Breha Organa and Senator Bail Prestor Organa, in turn becoming the heiress to the Alderaanian Monarchy.  She succeeded in representing their homeworld in the Imperial Senate. However, she secretly supported the rebellion. Following the Battle of Endor, she married the smuggler, Han Solo. Following their marriage, the two had a son named Ben Solo, who later fell to the dark side, taking the moniker “Kylo Ren.”

In her final moments, she used up all her remaining energy and strength to reach her son, calling him back to the lightside of the Force. After doing so, her remaining energy was drained which led to her death.
