Carbon freezing is a process in which the liquid form of carbonite was flash-frozen into a solid state, which could be used to encase materials, or in some instances other cargo, including humans, for transport. This process works by using high pressurized gases, typically tibanna, to make the carbonite fully solid again.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

This was seen in the Clone Wars, when Anakin Skywalker proposed the idea for him and his mission squad to undergo the carbon freezing process in order for them to not be detected in Separatist space due to their droid scanners. This helped them successfully land and start their way towards the Citadel, prompting the Battle of Lola Sayu. Another instance is during the Galactic Civil War, the Empire would freeze a giant Kyber crystal. Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa, Din Djarin, and Surat Nuat’s brother are also noted figures to undergo the carbon freezing process. Almost all of these were done with malicious intent against the individual's consent.
