The First Order(Or “Order”) In the Era of the New Republic, The Order was ruled by a Supreme Leader. The First Order was governed by Kylo Ren (as Ben Solo). When Ren, killed his father, Han Solo the planet he died (Ilum) Poe Dameron led an attack on Ilum destroying the planet Ilum later named “Solo” in memory of Han Solo’s death. Then rumors had been going around that Darth Sidious would be reborn. Darth Sidious then offered his fleet to Ren, for in return the “Sith Order” In the meantime, Rey redeemed Ben Solo, and together they ended the “Sith Order” and stopped the Dark Ages from coming.

The Order rose to power when the Galactic Empire fell, Due to Supreme Leader Darth Sidious’s death in the Battle of Endor.

The First Order was ruled by Han Solo's son and Darth Vader's grandson. Kylo Ren (as Ben Solo) was on the path to finishing what his GrandFather could not.

Additional Information Body Paragraph:

The First Order started in the Era of the New Republics late stage, Ren the son of Han Solo, was the Lord of it. Ren’s goal was to finish what his grandfather could not. He set a path to finish off the Jedi Order. The Order is set based on the Planet of Ilum, where Starkiller Base was founded.  The First Order used it as a Super Weapon. That could destroy whole star systems.
