General Information Body Paragraph: In 3976 BBY, the Mandalorian Wars devastated the galaxy and posed a major threat to the Galactic Republic. Though most of the Jedi High Council stayed away from this war out of fear, a certain Jedi called the Revanchist gathered other members of the Order and aided the Republic in defeating the Mandalorians. 

History/Background Body Paragraph: By 3960 BBY, this conflict was concluded. Around then or shortly afterwards, Revan went to Trayus Academy on Malachor V and found records which indicated that a sect of ancient Sith had survived through the turmoil of Great Hyperspace War and dwelled somewhere beyond known space. Upon learning this news, he decided to investigate it and ended up connecting with an enduring Sith Lord who swayed him to become evil. Subsequently,  The Sith Empire continued to conquer planets as they increasingly gained influence, with some willingly seceding due to either intimidation or their view that the Republic was on the verge of collapsing. Bastila Shan, a young Padawan of the Jedi Order, prevented the armadas of the Republic from being decimated by her mastery in battle meditation and she spearheaded an attack against Darth Revan's flagship. Malak sought to capitalize on this chance by destroying his own master's vessel in an effort to seize control of the Sith; however, this was not meant to be as the ship exploded, but the Jedi were able to flee and save an unconscious Revan. After medical attention from the Jedi Council, his broken mind was restored and a loyalist identity for the Republic was created for him.

Additional Information Body Paragraph: Revan was sent back to Republic with a mission to prepare for a possible assault from Exiled Sith but he and his apprentice, Malak selfishly sought for old Star Maps that led them to Star Forge- an antique possession of bygone Rakatan Infinite Empire. With its aid, Revan initiated his own Sith Empire and attacked the Galactic Republic.
