General Information Body Paragraph:

Revan was a human male born in 3,994 BBY somewhere within the Outer Rim Territories. He first started out as a Padawan under the Jedi Order, learning from numerous Jedi Masters and studying the Jedi’s involvement within the galaxy. As a Jedi Knight, Revan was known to be a vocal advocate for increasing the Jedi Order’s involvement in wars across the galaxy, particularly the Mandalorian Wars which began in 3,976 BBY. He went against the Jedi Council and created the Jedi Crusaders, a group that was meant to aid the Galactic Republic against the Mandalorians.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Leading the Jedi Crusaders, also known as the Revanchists, Revan served as the master of the group. The Jedi Crusaders searched for fellow Jedi to join their mission but none wished to join the Revanchists. They traveled to Suurja, where they were ambushed by the Mandalorians with many Jedis being taken as hostages. Revan pleaded with the Jedi Council to aid them in their efforts against the Mandalorians, but the Council still held their position to stay out of the war. The Jedi Council did plan to rescue the captured Jedi on the planet of Flashpoint, and the Revanchists continued their mission once the group regathered. In 3,960 BBY, Revan managed to defeat the Mandalorian’s leader, Mandalore the Ultimate. Following his victory, Revan followed the trail of the Sith and was eventually corrupted towards the dark side of the Force. Under the Sith Empire, Revan was sent back to the Galactic Republic to act as a spy for the Sith. However, Revan managed to break free from the Sith Empire and decided to form his own Sith Empire on the Star Forge. The Star Forge was created by the Rakatan Empire in 30,000 BBY, but Revan had now used it to create weapons to wage war against the Republic. He took on an apprentice, Malak, and the two declared war against the Galactic Republic.

Darth Revan was eventually betrayed by Malak and was captured by the Republic and the Jedi Order. It was with Bastila Shan that Revan was able to break free from all connections. He was given a new identity and now defended the Republic against Malak and all opposing forces. Revan was eventually captured by the Sith and was held captive for over 300 years. The Republic managed to free him eventually, but his mind had been warped. Revan valued the ways of the Jedi but clung to life and was taken into the dark side once again. His soul was split into two, one of light and one of dark. He was out of balance, but Revan planned to take down the Sith Emperor of his time. The light and dark sides of Revan were able to merge together to try to stop the Sith Order. Despite Revan’s failure, his spirit lived on within the Republic and fueled them to fight against the Sith. Once the Sith Emperor was finally defeated, Revan became one with the Force and was able to live in peace and balance.
