Article Theme/Topic: Darth Sion
General Information Body Paragraph: Darth Sion, a male human Sith Lord, answered to the sobriquet “The Lord of Pain” for many reasons. He employed rage and pain as a basis for vitality, and continued to live after conventionally fatal detriment while fueled by his agony. Holding his dilapidated body together with only the augmentation of the Dark Side of the Force, Sion outlived the Great Sith War.
History/Background Body Paragraph: The Great Sith War, the juncture of Sion’s momentous discovery, was radically conducive to Sion’s reputation within the later Sith Triumvirate. While he fought as a Sith Marauder in Exar Kun’s Sith Empire, he was precipitously struck down, only to learn that his injury could be surmounted with the use of rage and pain. He called upon the vertex of the Dark Side’s use, and rose from his certain death at the expense of abject pain and suffering. After he employed this newfound power, he allied himself with the Sith Empire subsequent to that of Exar Kun, that of the dynamic coaction of Darth Revan and Darth Malak. Sion would even outlive them in spite of their indomitable power, and he watched from Korriban the Empire’s pernicious contamination and eventual destruction from its own constituents. The Lord of Pain would then compound the infamous Sith Triumvirate, and allied himself with the Lord of Betrayal, Darth Traya, and the Lord of Hunger, Darth Nihilus, each devoted to the restoration and unity of the Sith and the eradication of the morally antithetical Jedi.
Additional Information Body Paragraph:
Despite the ostensible possibility of Sion’s excruciating self-preservation, even his limits would become perspicuous with the Jedi Meetra Surik. She was exiled in the Mandalorian Wars, and was subject to an attack by Sion, which was neutralized by Traya. The Lord of Betrayal would implement the functions of the Harbinger, a captured Republic ship, and would facilitate her escape from Sion, in spite of his assiduous pursuit. They would encounter each other once more on Korriban, but the emergence of Sion’s convoluted feelings for her would once again preclude her death by The Lord of Pain’s hand. Hence her flagitious appellation, Traya would betray Surik and retake command of the Sith. Subsequent to this, Surik and Sion would engage in one final and perfervid battle on Malachor V, where Surik, upon striking him down various times to futility from his malevolent durability, eventually convinced him to relinquish his pain and agony and to acknowledge the proportions of longevity and its price. Sion would finally give up his immortality, let go of his pain, and find peace as his passed there.
