Grogu was a male being who belonged to the same species as Jedi Grand Master Yoda. He was sensitive to the force, and would eventually join the Jedi Order. Grogu survived the Great Jedi Purge, and was hidden away from the evils of the Galactic Empire. Grogu ended up a foundling after the fall of the Empire, eventually being brought in by Mandalorian bounty hunter, Din Djarin, who would serve as a father figure to the young child. Grogu eventually left Djarin to continue his Jedi training with Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Grogu was born in the year 41 BBY. He was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where he also trained in the ways of the force. In 19 BBY, the Great Jedi Purge would commence at the Jedi Temple. Grogu witnessed the death of many Jedi at the hands of the 501st Legion of the Clone Army. A Jedi would later take Grogu from the temple and into hiding, where he concealed his force powers to remain undetected. Grogu was one of very few Jedi who had survived the attacks of Order 66. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, Grogu remained hidden until being found by Din Djarin in 9 ABY.

Grogu and Grand Master Yoda come from an ancient species. This species was very rare within the galaxy and often shrouded in mystery. There were very few beings of this species, but all were said to be Force-sensitive. The homeworld of this species, as well as its name, is unknown. The species consisted of male and females. Members of this species were small, green, had large eyes, and long pointed ears. The life expectancy of this species can vary from centuries to a millennium due to their slow aging. Most members of this species reach maturity at around the 100th year.
