General Information 

Naboo is a fictional planet in the Star Wars galaxy. It is best known as the birthplace of Padmé Amidala, one of the main characters in the saga's prequel. Naboo is a lush, green planet with extensive forests, mountains and oceans. It is inhabited by a humanoid species called Naboo, known for its beauty and sophisticated culture. The Naboo have a peaceful and democratic society, ruled by an elegant and sophisticated government. Their architecture is also remarkable, with elegant and decorative buildings inspired by Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The Palace of Theed, the capital of Naboo, is an excellent example of this elegant architecture and one of the most popular landmarks on the planet. However, peace on Naboo was often threatened by outside forces, including the Trade Federation and the Separatists. During the Clone Wars, the planet was invaded and occupied by the Separatists, but the people of Naboo put up a valiant resistance and were eventually liberated by Republic forces.

History/Background Information
The planet Naboo was attacked by the Trade Federation in 32 BC. It was triggered by the Trade Federation's blockade of the planet in retaliation for Naboo's decision to do business with rival companies. The invasion was led by Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray, who deployed an army of droids to take control of the planet. The Naboo resisted but were eventually defeated, and Queen Amidala was captured and taken to Coruscant, where she was tried. However, with the help of the young Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker, the queen escaped. Together, they returned to Naboo to free the planet from Trade Federation occupation and defeated the leader of the Federation droids, the dreaded General Grievous. This battle became famous in the Star Wars universe, as it marked the beginning of the Clone Wars and led to the creation of the Rebel Alliance.
