General Body Paragraph: The Double-Bladed lightsaber, also referred to as a Saberstaff, was a variant lightsaber that emitted single blades from both ends instead of one. The variant required extreme training and skillship in order to wield it. It was nothing like the single-bladed lightsaber with one emitter. Making the wrong move could leave you limbless. The double-bladed saberstaff was used by most affiliates such as the Jedi Order, Sith Order and the Inquisitorius. A range of user’s who have used a saberstaff are Pong Krell, the Jedi Temple Guards, the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Maul.

History/Background Paragraph: The existence of the double-bladed saberstaff refers all the way back to the Sith Lord Exar Kun in 3997 BBY.

Additional Information Paragraph: Some variants of the double-bladed saberstaff allowed hinges on the hilt, allowing the hilt to collapse. This type of saberstaff variant is used by the Jedi Temple Guards.
