Article Theme/Topic: Wrecker
General Information Body:
Known by his original name, CT-9903, Wrecker was a strong clone commando who fought in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was a member of the famous Clone Force 99, which was also referred to as the "Bad Batch." Genetic abnormalities had made Wrecker stronger and bigger than normal clones; he was a master at demolitions and enjoyed explosions. He experienced the turbulent Clone Wars with his comrades, participating in missions as dangerous as the Battle of Anaxes and the start of Order 66.
After Order 66 was implemented by the Galactic Empire and the clones turned against the Jedi, Wrecker and his group were left in a confusing predicament. Even though one of their members, Crosshair, partially gave in to the command, they and a juvenile clone by the name of Omega rejected the Empire's authority. They chose a life of mercenary labor under the direction of Cid, a Trandoshan on Mantellia, in order to avoid the Empire's clutches.
Their rebellion was short-lived, though, as Hunter's apprehension by the Empire compelled them to return to Kamino, where they saw their home base destroyed. Thought to be deceased, Wrecker, his allies, and Omega carried on with their mercenary existence, all the while eluding Imperial discovery.
Background/History Body:
Formally identified as CT-9903, Wrecker was a Kamino-born clone who shared genetic ancestry with other Grand Army troops of the Republic, having descended from Jango Fett. Owing to genetic abnormalities, Wrecker was bigger and stronger than the other clones. The Republic assembled Wrecker together with three other members, Hunter, Tech, and Crosshair, to form Clone Force 99, an elite force in recognition of the possible consequences of these aberrations. Known as the "Bad Batch," they conducted many successful operations throughout the Clone Wars, frequently working without the assistance of ordinary clone warriors.
One mission that stands out was quelling an uprising on Yalbec Prime when Wrecker unintentionally aroused the local species. Despite the miscommunication, the squad made it out alive and got a call on Anaxes from Clone Commander Cody asking for help.
Wrecker and his group showed off their special skills and unconventional strategies on their travels, keeping a flawless record of accomplishment in spite of sporadic run-ins with traditional clone soldiers.
Additional Information Body Paragraph:
Wrecker was a member of the Clone Force 99, dubbed the "Bad Batch," a group of genetically different clones valued for their favorable mutations. Because of his specific mutation, he possessed exceptional physical strength, as demonstrated by his ability to lift a downed LAAT gunship by himself and save a fellow soldier who was trapped beneath it.
Wrecker was known for his gregarious demeanor and his passionate presentation of his opinions. He was particularly fond of explosives and the use of brute force to destroy enemy equipment, particularly battle droids. Even though he was so skilled, he had a serious fear of heights, which he called his "gravity problem." Even though Wrecker had trouble working with normal clones, he and his group respected Clone Captain Rex and even saluted him during the Battle of Anaxes. He also treasured an emotional toy, a plush tooka doll called Lula.
Due to a genetic aberration, Wrecker was initially immune to the effects of his inhibitor chip; nonetheless, he gradually developed migraines and occasionally experienced head trauma-induced activation of Order 66 programming. He overcame numerous obstacles to withstand the chip's impact until finally giving in to it on Bracca. He did, however, effectively complete the removal process, releasing himself from its grip.
