General Information Body Paragraph: Hera Syndulla was a member of the Ghost Crew, and a freedom fighter during the time of the Empire. Hera was an adept pilot and a strong figure for much of the crew, giving inspiring words of wisdom during the hardest of times. She would go to become a General during her time flying with Phoenix Squadron, and would continue to be one during the New Republic's reign after the war. 

History/Background Body Paragraph: Hera Syndulla was a Twi’Lek, born 29 BBY on Ryloth, and was the daughter of Cham Syndulla, a freedom fighter during the Clone wars. Growing up during a time of oppression on her planet, having Order 66 been executed, she lived to see the Empire turn her world against her own family, forcing her to become a rebel at a young age. After her parents were captured, she would call Clone Force 99 to her aid to rescue them. Later in her life, with her droid friend Chopper, she would explore the galaxy as she wanted to as a child, until discovering former Jedi Padawan Kanan Jarrus. These two would create a squad, known as the Ghost Crew, hiring on more people over time, their crew would become one of the most diverse crews in terms of species and background. Garazeb Orrelios, a Lassat, known to be a dying species almost wiped out by the Empire. Sabine Wren, a Mandalorian who defected from the Imperial Academy, and the eventual owner of the DarkSaber. Ezra Bridger, a “Bokken Jedi,” found on Lothal, and trained by Kanan. Hera created a new family for herself when her own parents weren't around for her. She would fly missions for the Rebellion during her time with Phoenix Squadron, experiencing just about the worst of the fight that one could experience during the conflict between the Rebellion and the Empire. After the war, having lost both her love interest at the time, Kanan, and a part of the crew she considered her son at the time, Ezra, she continued to live alongside her actual son Jacen. After Sabine was convinced of a way to find Ezra again, Hera was dragged along on a mission to save Ezra, which she failed at. In the end, however, she was reunited with him after Sabines’, and Ahsoka's success in a separate galaxy, where Ezra was living for the past 4 years or so. 

Additional Information Body Paragraph: Hera and Kanan developed a love interest over their time together. When Kanan became blind, Hera started to realize that she cared more for him than she realized; and Kanan ultimately felt the same. In Kanan's final moments, his sight would return to him, allowing Hera to see his eyes once more before he died saving her.
