The 187th Legion was a military branch harbored by the Grand Army of the Republic during the era of the Clone Wars. The 187th Legion was led by Jedi General Mace Windu and an unnamed Clone Commander. The 187th Legion armor featured unique purple markings and symbols. The unit comprised nine thousand, two hundred and sixteen clones.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The 187th Legion was created shortly after the first batch of clones were trained on Kamino somewhere between 28 and 22 BBY. Four weeks after the First Battle of Geonosis, the 187th Legion was deployed to Dantooine with their recently appointed Jedi General, Mace Windu to fight against the Separatists and destroy their seismic tank industry. Later in 19 BBY, The 187th Legion was tasked with the ground defense along with Mace Windu during the Battle of Coruscant. The 187th Legion with the help of the Rancor Battalion would win the ground assault with little to no casualties. The Legion was disbanded following the collapse of the Galactic Republic.
