The Outer Rim Territories' Terminus system contained the planet Terminus. Despite its remote location on the periphery of the Western Reaches of the Outer Rim, Terminus was a heavily trafficked port because it was situated at the intersection of two of the galaxy's most significant trade routes, the Hydian Way and the Corellian Trade Spine. Due to its proximity to Wild Space and the Unknown Regions, strange and unfamiliar ships were frequently seen in the skies above Terminus.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Gorensla Hutt family had gained control over Terminus. A group of Red Nebula exiles used Terminus as a hunting ground in 0 ABY, where they kidnapped a number of smugglers and mercenaries to help them steal the Great Life Jewels from the Nebula. Han Solo and Chewbacca were among the travelers Han Solo and the exiled leader Klysk captured as they passed through Terminus. Later, Terminus was portrayed in the well-known opera The Kallea Cycle, which depicted the founding of the Hydian Way by Freia Kallea many centuries earlier. In 4 ABY, the Nagai survivors who had survived the Second Battle of Endor, where they had been routed by the forces of the Alliance of Free Planets, made their way to Terminus. They used it as a stopping point on their journey back up the Hydian Way and the Corellian Trade Spine. The Alliance forces pursued the Nagai and engaged them in combat at Terminus, where the raiding Nagai were victorious.
