Stormtroopers, also known as Imperial stormtroopers and also referred to as "bucketheads", are the shock troops or space marines of the autocratic Galactic Empire, with Emperor Palpatine being their leader. More specifically, stormtroopers are men and women who have been recruited at a young age to serve as soldiers of the Empire. They wore armor consisting of white plastoid plates over a black body glove, and their standard weapon was the E-11 medium blaster rifle.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

After the declaration of the Galactic Empire, the clone troopers who’d served the Republic became stormtroopers, obeying the will of the Emperor, defeating the Empire’s enemies, and enforcing its increasingly oppressive laws. Over time, the stormtrooper ranks were filled not by clones but by recruits, trained for blind obedience and loyalty. The end of the Clone Wars, however, fulfilled the purpose behind the creation of clone troopers. The rapid aging of clones, limited shelf-life, and original purpose as soldiers to the Republic were further benefits for the Empire to retire its clone units in favor of natural-born humans.

In addition to the standard stormtroopers, the Empire had specialized stormtroopers to operate in different environments or roles. Once a trooper was specialized to their role, their body adaptation was so strong that one would rarely want to change what division they were in. Stormtroopers in mechanized battle armor armed with heavy handheld cannons were present at the Battle of Sevarcos.
