General Body Paragraph: The Imperial Royal Guards served as the personnel bodyguard unit of Emperor Sheev Palpatine of the Galactic Empire. The Imperial Royal Guards (IRG or Crimson Guards) was composed of the most talented and skilled soldiers of the Galactic Empire. The IRG also provided protection not only to the Galactic Emperor but also to members of the Imperial Ruling Council and the Emperor’s enforcer, Darth Vader. The Imperial Royal Guard’s would go through the most intense training out of any unit. Hundreds of skilled soldiers would attempt to try out to become part of the Crimson Guard but only 1 or 2 would actually pass this intense training.

History/Background Body Paragraph: The Imperial Royal Guard is the newly reformed Republic Red Guard. The training and skill between the IRG and the Red Guard are completely opposite from each other. For example, an Imperial Royal Guard could possibly take on 6 Republic Red Guards. The Red Guards were extremely underqualified compared to an average Royal Guard.

Additional Information Paragraph: The Imperial Royal Guards of the Galactic Empire had specialized armor under their red cloaks that had far better protection than average stormtrooper armor. This armor was the best that the Galactic Empire had to offer to any soldier. The Imperial Royal Guards were also fitted with a heavy blaster pistol and a force pike. The Imperial Royal Guards were also given specially modified tie interceptors when escorting the Emperor’s shuttle. These interceptors were painted red and black.
