Article Theme/Topic: Spheres of Influence
General Information Body Paragraph:
During the rousing and prevalent reign of the Reconstituted Sith Empire, the Spheres of Influence were key factors in the Empire’s success internally and also in various wars against the Galactic Republic. All twelve spheres, typically referred to as “Pyramids” or “Ministries”, were a symbol of strength and dominance, consisting of various units of the Empire, from Lords of the Sith Order to Officers of the Imperial Military. Each member of the Dark Council, the governing body of the Sith Order, headed one of the twelve Spheres. All twelve members were given the authority to rule absolutely and command their Spheres.
History/Background Body Paragraph:
The twelve Spheres of Influence were established prior to the existence of the Dark Council by the Sith Emperor in 4980 BBY on the Sith Capital of Dromund Kaas. It is not uncommon for one Sphere to get into conflicts with another, causing members of the Dark Council and Sith Lords to rival one another. Adding to the collection, tradition states that every Dark Council member’s successor will take on the responsibility of heading the Sphere their predecessor had led. Quoted, “You are head of the Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge. You are charged with keeping the mystical knowledge of the Sith and guarding the secrets of our order.” by Darth Marr when inducting Darth Nox onto the Dark Council.
Additional Information Body Paragraph
The organizational system of Spheres of Influence demonstrated success and effectiveness, maintaining order across the Empire on various Sith Worlds. Among these Spheres, the Spheres of Military Offense, Expansion and Diplomacy, Laws and Justice, Defense of the Empire, and Sith Philosophy were regarded and stood as the most influential Spheres, executing and aiding the Dark Council on critical affairs both domestically and externally. In the absence of the twelve Spheres, the Sith Empire would not have prevailed for an extended period of time and would fall into a state of nature.
