Born in 3,982 BBY, Zayne Carrick was a Force-sensitive human male born  on the planet of Phaeda. His connection to the Force was slim, and Zayne was almost rejected from the Jedi Order due to this. He was brought into the Jedi Order by an unknown Jedi Knight when Zayne was quite young. Although there was hesitation, Zayne was accepted into the Order and trained within the Jedi Academy on Dantooine. Despite gathering time to train, his abilities were weak and were considered marginal compared to any other Force-sensitive being.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Zayne Carrick became a Padawan on Dantooine and studied under Master Lucien Draay, who was also a member of the Jedi Covenant. During his time on Dantooine, he was taught by five Jedi Masters, and none of them had high hopes for Zayne. His connection to the Force was a mere flicker and he lacked any confidence. Growing up, he was made fun of or treated poorly due to his performances as a future Jedi. At his own Knighting Ceremony Zayne showed up late. When he showed up to the Knighting Hall, he found his fellow Padawans massacred on the floor. It was later discovered that the Jedi Masters killed their own Padawans after seeing a vision. The vision told of a Padawan gaining power and causing mayhem to the galaxy and the Jedi Order. Since he was the only surviving Padawan, the Jedi Masters accused Zayne of being the one in their vision.

After meeting with a Covenant member, Celeste Morne, Zayne decided to avenge his fellow Padawans and prove that the Jedi Masters killed their own Padawans. To Zayne, being made fun of and bullied were inconsequential now that they were dead. His only goal was to get justice for them, even if they would not have done the same for him. Zayne gathered an ample supply of evidence and headed to Coruscant in order to speak with the Jedi High Council. With the support of the Jedi High Council and some Jedi Masters confessing, Zayne Carrick was cleared of any crimes against the Jedi Order. The High Council even offered Zayne the rank of Jedi Knight under their authority, but he refused. Zayne decided to traverse the galaxy as a lone Jedi in hopes of helping those who were not aided by the Jedi Order.
