Article Theme/Topic: Colossus
General Information Body Paragraph:
Colossus is a mobile aircraft refueling station on the ocean planet Castilon in the Western Reaches of the Mid Rim. It is run by Captain Imanuel Doza, who lives on the upper floors of the station with his daughter Torra. Colossus is defended by a squadron of skilled pilots, known as the Ace Squadron, and is also home to many other individuals such as Jarek Yeager, who owns a repair shop on the station. During the New Republic Era, Resistance agent Kazuda Xiono was sent to gather intelligence on the First Order's activities on the platform. After a series of pirate attacks, Captain Doza accepted the First Order's occupation of Colossus. In response, Xiono formed a resistance movement to expel the First Order. After a battle, Colossus activates its super speed and flees into space. The station later participated in the Battle of Exegol between the Resistance and the Sith Eternal.
History/Background Body Paragraph:
The Colossus originated as an Imperial fuel depot capable of interstellar travel. By 34 ABY, Colossus had not moved since at least 14 ABY, twenty years ago.[3] During the New Republic, the station was headed by Captain Imanuel Doza, a former officer in the Imperial Army. After losing his wife and daughter in a racing accident, New Republic veteran Jarek Yeager settled in Colossus, where he established a starship repair business in Quadrant 3.27. Yeager's Fireball team includes Bucket droid Astromech, Nikto Neeku Vozo, and human girl Tamara Ryvora. During the New Republic's Cold War with the First Order, Kazuda Xiono was sent to Colossus by Resistance Commander Poe Dameron as an infiltrator in 34 ABY. Xiono is distracted after accidentally getting caught up in a race with Ace Squadron member Torra Doza, Captain Doza's daughter. With Yeager's help, he found a job as a mechanic on Team Fireball. That same year, the First Order began organizing pirate attacks against the station, hoping to use it as a staging ground for the coming war. Commander Pyre, who came up with the idea, calculated that enough pirate attacks would force Captain Doza to request an Order to take over the station. Following the First Order's instructions, Kragan Gorr's Warbird gang raided Colossus in a three-sided black storm, but were forced to retreat when Xiono jammed their communications. Colossus also faced periodic data shortages, forcing it to import supplies from the First Order. After the pirate attack, Major Elrik Vonreg met with Captain Doza, giving advice offering to protect the first organization and provide regular fuel. Xiono Acid input into Tower Doza and the view of Vonreg. He was narrowly killed by Vonreg's warrior. Later, two refugee children, Kel and Eila, who had escaped the First Order massacre on Tehar, found refuge on Colossus. They are pursued by First Order forces led by Commander Pyre. With the help of Xiono and the mechanic Neeku Vozo, Kel and Eila escaped Pyre's power and found shelter with the Chelidae engineers, mechanics, and technicians living in the engineering deck.
Additional Information Body Paragraph:
Colossus has a diverse population consisting of many different species including humans, Aleena, Gilliands, Gotals, Ithorians, Kel Dor, Nikto, Rodians, Snivvians, Sullustans and amphibian Chelidae native to Castilon. Chelidae are mainly engineers, mechanics and technicians who manage the technical department of the refueling platform. While Galactic Basic Standard is widely used on the station, other languages used on Colossus include the Chelidae, Binary, and Cracek languages. Racing was an important source of the Colossus economy and community prior to the First Order occupation shortly before the Hosnian Cataclysm. Various racers, including Ace Squadron, have organized regular racing events for both amateur racers such as Kazuda Xiono and professional racers such as galactic champion Marcus Speedstar. Local businesses such as the Purchasing Office and Aunt Z's Pub also benefited from the race. Aunt Z makes money betting on racers while the Acquisition Office supplies them with spaceship parts.
