13,000,000,000 BBY has been the predicted year that the galaxy was formed. While the universe had already existed, consisting of lightyears of gas across in diameter spread throughout, the formation of the known galaxy was created approximately 13,000,000 BBY. 13 billion years Before the Battle of Yavin is when gravity collapsed in on itself, imploding and creating the disk-shaped galaxy we know today. Creating planets of dust, gasses, and other matter, 13,000,000,000 is the predicted year that scientists have come up with for the start of the galaxy.  Within the following eons, planets, and stars would begin to form, soon creating life that could sustain on the planets throughout the newly found galaxy.

Within the galaxy now, there are more than 100 billion stars and more than 5 million types of species that have lived and currently live in the universe. Even with over 13 billion years of exploration, only 25% of the galaxy has been traversed. The Jedi Order was founded 25,000 BBY on the planet of Tython and was known as the Pre-Republic Era. This era was known for industrialism and expansion, with the introduction of hyperspace and other scientific discoveries.

The Jedi Order stood for 25,000 years before being replaced by the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY. Since the creation of the galaxy in 13,000,000,000 BBY, many civilizations have risen, and many have fallen over the span of time. Before the Jedi existed, the Celestials were the force-wielders of the time. Their initial time of creation is unknown, however, they disappeared around 30,000 BBY. Approximately around 36,000 BBY is when the start of the Infinite Empire was created. They would teach others about the force, as well as create advancements in technology and science. Despite this, there were many controversial things that the Infinite Empire did to people around the galaxy. Their empire remained intact until 25,000 BBY when a civil war took place, which led to the creation of the Jedi Order.
