Coastal Defender Stormtroopers, also better known as Shoretroopers or Coast Guards, were stationed on the planet Scarif during the Galactic Empire era. These are specialists of the Galactic Empire, in addition to also being heavily equipped and trained for fighting in tropical environments. Unusually, they could change with the rank they served. These positions were very unlikely to be obtained since few stations were located on coasts or in tropical environments.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Many coastal defense stormtroopers were stationed in secret Imperial security complexes on the tropical planet of Scarif, where they patrolled bunkers as well as beaches. One coastal trooper, Del Meeko, who later became a member of the Inferno Squad, formerly served as a coastal trooper on Scarif Station before becoming a TIE fighter pilot. When the Rebel Alliance was trying to obtain the first Death Star plans, coastal troops participated in the Battle of Scarif against the alliance, where many coastal troopers perished when the Death Star blew up the Imperial security complex.

There were up to three ranks of coastal troops, all with exceptional equipment. Typically, as coastal troopers, they wore a sand color so that no one would recognise them. The troop leader was marked with a thin blue stripe.
