Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin was one of several who occupied a high ranking position with the Galactic Empire and its affiliates and, like many others, he was well known for his authoritarian leadership style which did not spare even Lord Vader coupled with unflinching loyalty to Emperor Palpatine. In regard to his personality, he personified it with his physical features, which were imposing while at the same time being intellectually gifted and possessed immense political and military authority within an Empire.

History/Background Body Paragraph:
The Wealthy Eriadu family gave birth to Tarkin, who began as a part of the Republic judicial system and then moved into the military after the Clone Crisis. His debt to the Republic Navy has been always honourably returned, and he became a personally trusted friend of Chancellor Palpatine. After the establishment of the Empire, Tarkin became the first Grand Moff who was responsible for governing Outer Rim Cites.

Tarkin’s most defamatory stroke was his leadership of the constructed super-weapon, Death Star; this global destroying weapon. He ruthlessly imposed the authority of the Empire-with his most representative and notable decision being to destroy Alderaan, as a way of savaging the rebellion. In fact, during the Battle of Yavin when the Rebel Alliance obliterates the Death Star, Tarkin died.

Tarks’ legacy extended beyond his death, establishing a well-defined approach in the Imperial military and governance for six years after his passing. Tyrannical leadership style, his penchant for extreme power and attempts to bring the galaxy under subjugated status led to a lasting imprint on what constituted oppressive Imperial rule.
