General Information Body Paragraph:

R4-P17, or shortened to R4, was a droid assigned to Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars. As a feminine astromech droid to a Jedi Master, R4 saw many battles during its time in service. Standing at just under one meter tall, R4 served for the Jedi Order and was painted white and red. R4 had many feminine traits and was considered braver than most droids.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The R4-P model was constructed by Industrial Automaton, a droid manufacturer that created the P2 and GNK series. The Industrial Automaton also managed to perfect the R2, BB, and C- series of droids. R4-P17 was created by this company, and was shipped off to the Jedi Order where she was assigned to Obi-Wan Kenobi. R4 was given an electro-shock prod and was designed for hyperspace navigation and engineering, making R4 suitable for ships and space combat.

Obi-Wan Kenobi took R4 on many adventures during the Clone Wars. One of R4’s first assignments was on Kamino, where she was to accompany Kenobi during his search for the assassination attempts against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order. R4 also joined Obi-Wan Kenobi on Geonosis, where a major outbreak of war took place. Eventually, R4 was destroyed in the Battle of Coruscant, where a number of buzz droids anchored on Kenobi’s ship and killed R4-P17. Afterwards, Obi-Wan Kenobi replaced R4-P17 with R4-G9 in 19 BBY, and aided Kenobi against the Separatists.
