Located in the Colonies region, Neimoidia was a humid planet with diverse terrains across its surface. A day cycle on Neimoidia was 29 hours, longer than a standard day for planets. Neimoidia was also located in the Slice, a region of the galaxy that gained immense travel and trade during the High Republic of the Jedi and the expansion of the galaxy. The planet was home to the Neimoidians, a species with green skin and orange eyes. Overall, the planet was home to over 400 million habitants.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Before 25,000 BBY, Duros had traversed the galaxy in order to expand their influence. They had come across the planet of Neimoidia and decided to colonize it. For the following thousands of years, Neimoidia grew and developed as a civilization. The Duros colonies eventually became their own species, separate from the Duros after 10,000 years due to the strong gravity and humidity. Neimoidians were not driven by expansion and influence over the galaxy compared to the Duros. Instead, they focused on greed, creating trading guilds for their own benefit.

The Neimoidians eventually expanded to other planets, but only for the sole purpose of making profits. They established the Purse Worlds, a group of planets colonized to produce wealth for Neimoidia. As the center of this wealth and power, the Neimoidians eventually referred to the planet as Pure Neimoidia as a sign of power, elegance, and luxury. All the profits from the Purse Worlds were given to the Trade Monarch, the one who ruled Neimoidia. For thousands of years, Neimoidia accumulated wealth for only the elitist members in power. Due to the greediness of those in power, many Neimoidian civilians often opted out of this system and traveled to other regions of the galaxy. For thousands of years, this cycle continued with the Trade Monarch gathering wealth. Eventually, this was not enough for their civilization, and in 350 BBY, Neimoidia decided to create the Trade Federation, an interstellar shipping group that grew to even create its own military. The Trade Federation had their own seat in the Galactic Senate and often bullied other star systems into signing contracts in order to gain more wealth.
