General Information Body Paragraph:

The Separatist Council, also recognized as the Leadership Council, was the main Executive Body of the Confederacy of Independent Systems from 22-19 BBY.

The Council was composed of the leaders of corporations and businesses that could be used to further Separatists interests in the galaxy while also acting as an advisory board for the Head of State, Count Dooku. During the Clone Wars the C.I.S (Confederacy of Independent Systems) needed a stable government in order to properly function, as a result the Council was formed in order to govern systems that fell under its occupation. Some notable corporations that were a part of this was; The Techno Union, The InterGalactic Banking Clan, The Trade Federation, and even General Grievous who was the Supreme Commander of the Droid Army.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Before the events of the Clone Wars broke out, the Separatist movement was already having political influence in many Outer-Rim worlds of the Galaxy. Many people felt infuriated, neglected and could not trust the Galactic Senate of the Republic to properly represent the needs of the people, therefore many neglected systems would easily fall to the Separatist ideology once the war broke out across the galaxy.

Throughout the Clone Wars, we get a deeper dive into the political side of the era, as well as why these systems decided to join the Confederacy. However, while the Separatist Parliament may have aspired for peace and independence from the Republic, the Separatist Council had its own agenda and was all a part of Sidious’ Grand Sith Plan for the war.

Unfortunately for the Council members, they would meet their demise in 19 BBY. Sidious ordered them to be relocated to the mining moon of Mustafar to await further orders, however Sidious ordered his new Apprentice; Darth Vader, to execute all the remaining members of the Council in order for Sidious to eliminate any other threat to his Galactic Empire.

The members of the Separatist Council are as follows; Poggle the Lesser (Leader of the Geonosians), Wat Tambor (Leader of the Techno Union), Passel Argente (CEO of many corporations that funded Dooku’s war effort), Nute Gunray (Head of the Trade Federation), San Hill (Chairman of the InterGalactic Banking Clan), Senator Tikkes (Leader of the Quarren Isolation League), Rune Haako (Vice Head of the Trade Federation), General Grievous (Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droid Army), and Count Dooku (Head of State of the Confederacy of Independent Systems).

There are a few other members who play lesser roles within the Council, however these are the main contributors and backbone.
