General Information Body Paragraph:

Kohlen Crystals( which were also sometimes called ‘Fool’s Kyber’) was a type of Crystal that was known to be only found on the Pijal’s moon. There were lots of similarities between the Kohlen Crystal and the Kyber Crystal as they had similar functions as being able to power a lightsaber. Also Kohlen Crystals were extremely rare and even more rare than a Kyber Crystal. The Kohlen Crystal actually also had some sort of connection to the force.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Someone that went by the name ‘Pax Maripher’ detected the Kohlen Crystals on Pijal’s moon and when he first found them he thought they were a type of Kyber crystal. He had a plan to mine them with one of his associates called Rahara Wick, hoping to get a lot of credits for finding Kyber Crystals (what he thought to be Kyber Crystals) that were unknown to the Jedi Order at the time. Sadly for Maripher, the Kohlen Crystals turned out to be the same on macro level to the Kyber but completely different microscopically. That difference eventually gave the Kohlen Crystal the name ‘Fool’s Kyber’. 

Jedi Master Qui-Gon jinn and his padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi also found Kohlen Crystals when they were on a Jedi mission investigating terrorist activity on Pijal. They also found out that a group called the Blackguards used the Kohlen Crystals to make Energy shields.

When Kohlen Crystals are used to power a lightsaber, the blade colour will always be orange.

Kohlen Crystals were actually found out to be weaker than regular Kyber Crystals as they could not cut through normal lightsaber-resistant shields.
