General Information Body Paragraph:

Watto was a Toydaria business man with his own shop. He owned infamous Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his mother, Shmi, as slaves for his business. He was a mean master to them, with some compassion, like letting Anakin go home earlier if he fulfilled his task and Shmi was allowed to work in the dark, meaning she worked in her own area. Watto was a money gambler, betting money on multiple things including against his own slave. Once Anakin left Watto, he sold Shmi to the Lars family, he then began to suffer due to no one doing the hard work. He was then unable to find new servants with a technological background. He was later on killed by Darth Maul in the hunt for Obi-wan Kenobi.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Watto was born as a Toydaria Soldier, but left after being injured. Once he arrived on Tatooine, he was inspired by the Jawas, so he started his own scrap selling business! His business was placed in Mos Espa, he then was able to win two slaves from Gardulla the Hutt. He, being an avid gambler, not only sponsored Anakin in pod racing, after he learned that Anakin had talent, but he also bet against him. 32 BBY, Jedi Master Qui-gon Jinn came to Tatooine in search of parts for Queen Amidala’s Ship. When he came to Watto, he offered 20,000 Republic Credits, Watto denied the credits, as he did not  trust them, thinking they are useless in an outer-rim territory. Qui-gon then told Watto to enter Anakin in the Pod race, Watto agreed, but did not bet for Anakin to win. If Anakin won, Qui-gon got the credits and Anakin so he could train him at the Jedi Temple, Watto was not worried, he thought Anakin would surely lose. Anakin won the pod race! He then sold Shmi after losing another gambling incident to the Lars family. Watto continued to expand his business. Anakin soon returned to Tatooine in search of his mother, he went to Watto who did not help much, but told him that he sold her to the Lars family and all the other information he knew. Once all Jedi went into hiding, Obi-wan Kenobi purchased a humidifier from Watto.

Additional Information Body Paragraph:
Once, Jedi master Qui-gon Jinn tried to play a mind trick on Watto. Watto was immune to them and shrugged them off. These tricks were used to get the price of a T-14 hyperdrive generator down, Qui -gon then decided to use a simple mind trick and placed a bet against Watto.
