Born before 4,800 BBY, Shayoto served as a Jedi Master during the Old Republic Era of the Jedi. As a Padawan, his master had lived centuries and taught him many aspects of the Force. Much of the information from this time has been long forgotten. Still, Shayoto’s master’s master had lived for thousands of years, passing on generations of knowledge to Shayoto and teaching him the history of the wars fought by the Jedi. He was taught about the Hundred-Year Darkness, a conflict that started in 7,000 BBY when Shayoto’s master’s master was alive to see himself. He also told Shayoto of the Great Hyperspace War, an event that took place in 5,000 BBY. During that time, the entire Galactic Republic was used to fight for the war.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

While Shayoto’s predecessors lived to see gruesome events, Shayoto was not spared. The Gank Massacres took place in 4,800 BBY. During this event, the Ganks decided to start a war against the Republic, but the Republic Chancellor of that time launched an assault of Juggernaut war droids and wiped them out. The Gank Massacres were also the first usage of modern lightsabers, as previous models used an exterior power source. Shayoto was also alive during the Vultar Cataclysm, which destroyed the entire Vultar system.

Shayoto lived for over 800 standard years, which was abnormal for a human male. He carried the knowledge of great wars and even knew of the dark side, taught by his master’s master. In 3,997 BBY, Shayoto partook in the Grand Assembly, a Jedi convention on Deneba where Master Odan-Urr predicted the uprising of the Sith. During that convention, the Jedi were attacked by the Krath, a group influenced by the power of the Sith Order. Shayoto brought forth the idea of infiltrating the Krath to tear them apart from the inside but was shut down by the Jedi in fear he may turn to the dark side of the Force. Shayoto’s time of death remains unknown to the galaxy.
