The Separatist Droid Army was the ground forces for the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS)

Military during the Clone wars(from 22 BBY to 19 BBY). Mainly constructed by workers from Baktoid Combat Automata, the Separatist Army was one of the largest droid armies in galactic history. The army was led by the well known Kaleesh cyborg ‘ General Grievous ‘, who was ranked as the Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies. The army was also commanded by Count Dooku (AKA , Darth Tyranus).

The Droid Army also had higher numbers of soldiers/droids than the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic. The main droids used were B1 battle droids but they also used  destroyer droids known as Droidekas.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The start of the Separatist Droid Army began at the time of the Separatist crisis when Count Dooku’s Confederacy of Independent Systems , secretly started manufacturing the Droid Army on the planet Geonosis. The Separatist Droid Army was supported by the Trade federation, InterGalactic Banking Clan, Corporate Alliance, Techno Union and the Commerce guild. The Droid Army was eventually discovered by the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. The purpose/reason why the army was made, was to give the republic a fearful enemy and to make the galaxy go to war. What made the Droid Army such a dangerous enemy to the Galactic Republic was the amount of droids the separatist army had compared to them. It was also because the efficiency of making the droids was very fast so they could receive reinforcements quickly.

Throughout the time that the Droid Army was operational, the army used a vast variety of weapons to attempt to defeat the Grand Army of the Republic. These weapons include E-5 sniper rifle, wrist blasters, E-5 blasters and RG-4D. Some of their droids were also given melee weapons such as the electrostaff and vibroblades. 

In 21 BBY the Separatist Droid Army requested reinforcements of around three million battle droids being financially assisted by the InterGalactic Banking Clan.

Also the Separatist Droid Army was shut down at the immediate end of the war as both of the leaders were dead and Darth Sidious gave the order to Dath Vader to kill the Separatist council and shut down the droids.
