General Information Body Paragraph:

The Jedi Temple Guardians were an ancient and respectable security force, tasked with protecting the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Although the guards were stationed on Coruscant, they were able to leave for missions on other worlds. Directly answering to the Chief of Security and also Blademaster Cin Drallig at the time of the Clone Wars, any Jedi Knight or Master could be called to the honourable duty of a Temple Guard, completely separating themselves from the rest of the Order. Their devotion and loyalty would last the entirety of their lives and necessitated complete emotional parting. They were equipped with a double-bladed lightsaber pike, a shorter version of the usual one, which was also popular amongst the Dark Honour Guards during the imperial Sith era and emitted a yellow blade. Each and every guard was given one of such to assure total anonymity. The body of the Temple Guardians were fully covered with a white-brown robe with a hood, featuring golden patterns, which were often the emblem of the Jedi Temple Guard. The uniforms were made out of thick layers of a material referred to as armorweave, shielding them from threats such as blaster bolts. Chosen Knights were also handed a white mask, featuring similar patterns and slim dark holes for the eyes. The concealing masks also housed a comlink and a scanner to provide further assistance on duty.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

It is told that during the time of the Sith Wars on Malachor, when the superweapon was initiated buried deep within the Sith Temple, all Jedi and Sith perished. One amongst them was an anonymous Temple Guard, whose mask settled down on the stairs leading to the temple and endured there  for many decades. Another notable time when these sentinels conducted off-world operations, was when numerous guards joined the Jedi Master Ela Sutan on an assignment to rat out a cult, scheming to destroy the Jedi Order. The taskforce was caught by surprise and suffered under heavy bombardment by blaster shots. That incident would later be known as the Night of Sorrow. Moving into the Clone Wars Era, the Guards once helped Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker during the bombing of the Jedi Temple, caused by displeased and fallen Jedi Barriss Offee. Subsequently to Barriss confessing her crime after having accused Padawan Tano, she was brought into imprisonment by the Jedi Temple Guards. At the march on the Jedi Temple at the time of Order 66, a Sentinel guarding the entrance was brutally murdered by Skywalker, who they had thought was still part of the Jedi Order. The final ever recorded appearance of the long-lived Temple Guardian Brotherhood was an encounter with Kanan Jarrus in a vision on Lothal. There a former guard, the Grand Inquisitor, knighted  Jarrus and finally bid him to run as the Temple was falling, promising he and the other two phantom members would hold off the inquisitor.

After that closing confrontation with Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus, the guards never appeared again, although the mask of one was kept by the infamous Grand Admiral Thrawn during the Galactic Civil War. Some other garments and equipment were also spread throughout the galaxy, being sold, bought and displayed, of what was once the honourable Temple Guardian Order.
