General Information Body Paragraph:

The High Republic Era was a name given to the period of time during the reign of the Galactic Republic, in which it has been said that the Republic was at its all-time high. This was a time of generalized peace throughout the galaxy, and was seen as a ‘golden age’ for the Jedi Order as they had believed that they had either eliminated any remaining Sith or sent them into exile. As a result, the Jedi were far more prominent within the galaxy, focusing on settling disputes and rendering aid. During this time, many colonies of the Core World were overpopulated and crowded, and due to this a project set forth by the Supreme Chancellor at the time, Lina Soh, would lead to the exploration of the territories of the Outer Rim. Many poor citizens in these colonies would move to the territories of the Outer Rim to escape these situations, but would be met with new unexpected dangers as they arrived. 

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The exploration of the Outer Rim Territories set forth a handful of events, the first of which being the Great Hyperspace Disaster. In summary, this occurred after a freighter came apart while in hyperspace travel, causing large pieces of debris to travel out of hyperspace at near-light speed, and also causing many ships across the galaxy to be kicked out of hyperspace. The debris from this wreckage would appear out of hyperspace and threaten planets, systems, and billions of lives in the Outer Rim. Soon after the events of the Great Hyperspace Disaster, the rise of the Nihil and their army of space marauders “took an un-militarized galaxy by storm,” leading to many more conflicts leading up to the events of the Clone Wars. 

Additional Information Body Paragraph:

During the time of the High Republic, large battles would take place between the Jedi Order and the Nihil pirates due to their rising threat and hostile presence within the galaxy. It has been said that the First Battle of Geonosis was the “largest deployment since the High Republic Era.”
