General Information Body Paragraph: 

The A/SF-01 B-wing starfighter, additionally named A/SF-01 B-wing assault starfighter, but most frequently referred to as the B-wing, employed the bomber role within the Rebel Alliance’s fleet. Created by Slayn and Korpil, the B-wing saw primary use  in the Galactic Civil War and was then replaced by the B-wing Mark II, a better variation.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The first display of the model of the starfighter was during the usage of the more preliminary Prototype B6 Blade Wing. It was made by the Mon Calamari engineer Quarrie on Shantipole, and served the Project Shantipole. The ship has an extensive range of helpful uses and functions, but some of its most notable ones include its gyro-stabilized cockpit and S-foils, which were inspired by starships from the era of the dispute between the Republic and Separatists establishments. Afer a skillful and satisfactory display from the pilot Hera Syndulla, the mechanic gave the ship and his relevant services to the Rebellion. It would then undergo redesign and useful alteration as volunteered Sabine Wren of the Ghost Crew. After a successful and devastating test run on a component of the Empire’s fleet, it would be mass produced and used in warfare for the Rebel Alliance.

While the prototype was primarily mobile and agile, the variations used in battle by the Rebellion were entirely contrary.  Even though its heavy gunny spot, associated life support functions, and composite-beam laser were omitted, it had a vastly slower flying and turning speed, and would be employed primarily as a bomber ship and emphasis would go to its durability, as opposed to its speed.
