The Dai Bendu, also known as the Bendu, were a religious group that were the precursors of the Jedi Order. The first holocrons were attributed to the Dai Bendu. They paved the way for the Jedi Order with their knowledge, which was studied by the Jedi Order way after their existence.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

The Dai Bendu were a religious group located on an unknown planet. But they were located on the Dai Bendu Temple Guardian. They later on constructed a monastery in what became Kijimi City, which was located on the planet of Kijimi around the year 965 BBY. The existence of the Temple prompted the Brotherhood of the Beatific Countenance to make a pilgrimage to Kijimi, inhabiting another Quarter of the Beatific.  It was believed that Skordu had originally been invented by the Dai Bendu monks back when the City was a religious stronghold.

The Symbol of the Galactic Republic that adorned the starfighters of Jedi knight dates all the way back to the Dai Bendu monks study of numerology, in which number 9 symbolized eight spokes joined to one disk signified the benevolent presence of the Force in a wide-spread united Galaxy. After the fall of the Republic and its replacement by the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, the self-appointed Sith Emperor Palpatine personalized this ancient icon by removing 2 spokes, thus creating the Imperial Crest. Dai Bendu were one of the predecessor organizations to the Je’daii Order alongside the Followers of Palawa and the Chatos Academy.
